I’m so delighted to be working with you! I’ve found in my years of professionally shooting that answering a few questions up front makes sessions run smoother.
Which session should I choose?
It highly depends on your needs. If you’re looking for a prop-infused, outdoor session choose the curated package. If you’re looking for a more laid-back, observation heavy session photojournalism sessions are ideal. I also offer packages for maternity through baby’s first birthday, you can learn about those here. If you’re a small business owner or publication please visit this page.
How are images delivered?
You’ll come to my uptown studio to view your gallery and decide on the package that best suits your needs.
May I share my digital images?
Yes! However, please share only watermarked images on social media. This protects your images and my branding from third party theft.
How can I best prepare for my session?
I’d love to help you with any questions you have regarding wardrobe, if you follow me on Pinterest you’ll notice a few boards to get outfit inspiration started.
Do you offer design services?
Yes, I offer simple Christmas card and birth announcement designs for clients and love doing these for you! These designs are in low-resolution, jpeg format meant for sharing online. You’re always welcome to purchase physical cards at an added price. Please contact me for a direct quote.
What are you office hours?
General office hours are Monday-Saturday 9am-730pm. During those hours you can expect to hear back from us within 24 hours. During my busy season (roughly August-early December) sometimes it takes me 48 hours to get back to you. While I occasionally shoot on Sundays, my office is general closed and I will respond the next business day. E-mail is the best way to reach us for a quick response from either myself or my studio manager Courtney.
How far out do you book for fall family photos?
Highly popular times for outdoor, curated sessions run the first and second weeks of October. I’d recommend booking these sessions as early as February or March. The sooner you book, the more availability. Did you miss the fall colors? Don’t worry, late fall and early winter can be positively breathtaking times to shoot.
What is your editing process like?
I like to describe my color conversions as jewel-toned with a more contrast, color heavy look. My black and white conversions harken a more film-like, matte shade. My editing style as far as retouching is quite minimal.
Can I get the RAW images?
The short answer: no.
The longer answer: from the composition to the editing process, I’m particular about the images I’m giving to you. You’ll receive only the best and allowing another photographer or individual to edit the images I’ve given you is against my business policy and contract.
May I edit images with my own software or apps?
No. The editing process I use is part of my branding. You’ve made the investment in professional photography that includes hand editing– enjoy them!
