Well, come on in! I’ve been living here for a little over a month and have loved it so far (minus the bathroom water pressure). Immediately as you come into the entry way you’ll notice a small, built in book shelf. I have loved styling it with a few treasures:

{Instax camera, Jesus calling devotional– love it, “K” is from Anthro, that photo booth strip is from a fun wedding this past summer, the chalkboard heart I picked up in Germany in July 2014, and the framed camera print is from a boutique in Fargo}

That door there to the right of the front door is a huge, walk in coat closet. I have more storage in this place than I could dream of filling. One of the best things of my life here is that I don’t have closets that are stuffed. I highly recommend selling lots of stuff and starting over 😉 Across from the front door is a small door into the kitchen, which is ideal for when I’ve grocery shopped, I don’t have to walk around and enter the kitchen through the living room with heavy bags.

Immediately when you walk in to the left there’s the living room. I love that I get light from two directions in this place, this room is so sunny nearly all day long! Let’s hope I don’t kill that tree.

I’m hoping to find a big, fluffy area rug on sale. I’m also planning on shooting in this room, which is partly why I purchased this gorgeous couch off of Craigs List. It’s in near perfect condition, the woman who sold it to me and I were joking that it probably sat in some grandmother’s home with plastic on it for years 😉

This big, pink sign is from Junk Bonanza. I picked it up last fall and love the sentiment. I also keep my completed Bible Study books in this corner. That pretty cloth and mirror were gifts from my mom.

On the wall between this room and the kitchen is where I have a little office set up. I’m planning on decorating this space a bit more, but I love the functionality of it. A couple from my church sold me this desk before their move to Ghana (thanks Papais!) and the chair is from an estate sale.

Heading back to the hallway, there’s two closets side by side. I have the perfect place for all my vintage Martha Stewart Living Magazines gah!

The bathroom has the prettiest yellow and black tile, in nearly perfect condition. I also love that it has a built in vanity. Finally I have a place for my bottle collection. I’ve always wanted to put them in a bathroom and now I can. Ah!

Walking back to the kitchen… Again I can’t get over how truly functional this space is. There is so much storage and cabinet space I don’t have to tuck food into a coat closet like I did at my last place.

There are two sets of built ins that face the dining room. One is closet, cabinet style and the other is open. All of my cook books and decorating books have a new home.

My jadeite inspired dining set is right at home here. It was in storage for a long time and I missed it! I repainted and recovered those chairs myself. One of these days I’ll re-do the top, too.

I hung that shelf this past weekend! I’m thinking I’ll add another and primarily display artwork that represents my “one-little-words.” I’m on the look out for a frame and a few other pieces before I do that. Ledges are pretty much the bomb dot com. I made that message board from simply adding chicken wire to a vintage frame. That beautiful painting is a Beth Allen original!

Now we’ll walk into my bedroom, past some desert photos I took in Arizona…

I love my canvas life verse

So many people have been so very generous with me and I am very grateful: that dresser was free from a friend, the rug from mom, and Mara is loaning me this headboard that was sitting in her basement. 

Thank you Katie for the pretty side table. I still need to pick up a battery for that clock. It’s the perfect size for a bedroom and sits right on the windowsill. I love trashy books {no shame}.

And here’s kind of a random, unrelated thing: my BSF {Bible Study Fellowship} homework gets to hang out in this thrift store binder turned something cute thanks to a free printable.
